DeBow Recreation Complex – Located on North Drive, at Thomas Street, DeBow Recreation Complex is a 20 acre community park, renovated in 2008 with 4 soccer fields, a restroom/concessions building, a community-built playground with ADA-swing, a 9-hole disc golf course, paved parking areas, and Troy Sowell Pavilion, which is available for reservations and rental. ADA accessible with parking. Free Wi-Fi access available from HES EnergyNet.
Campsite locations are $30 per night with a 3-night minimum for a 15² x 20² and visitors will receive 1 parking pass with each viewing location. Check-in opens at 12:00 p.m. CT on Friday, August 18, 2017. Upon check-in, guests can set up chairs, blankets, telescopes and any other items they would like to use to view the Eclipse. This viewing area will be equipped with permanent and portable restroom facilities, portable shower facilities as well as on-site food vendors. If reserving multiple viewing locations, they will be assigned together.
No open flames permitted at campsite areas. Pets allowed on leash.
Campsite will also serve as your viewing area for August 21st. No need to reserve a separate viewing area. Parking passes will be emailed to guests in mid-July, so stay tuned to your inbox.
